Dredd (2012)
A Bullet Would Interfere With It More
The boys take on Dredd (2012): Karl Urban's scowl, Slo-Mo slaughter porn, and why it might secretly be a psychic cop film. Plus remakes vs remasters, a Claude-built berry empire, and a Roulette spin that nearly lands on two films they've already done.

Show notes
Fresh off the Variety Show and straight back in the hot seats, the boys open with the answers to the remakes and sequels Guess the Intro. Cue a proper rabbit hole on remakes vs remasters, the Wrath of Khan remaster getting it in the neck, and why the original Toy Story run through the Toy Story 5 engine would actually work.
The catch-up covers Street Fighter at the cinema, two blokes called Ethan and Jack building a working pub in the back of a Suzuki van, a TNG homework assignment (Season 4, Episode 17, Night Terrors - go and watch it), why the Borg are the best baddies in all of sci-fi, Zelda on the tube, and a Claude-built berry farming empire turning over £20 million a year. Elsewhere an Analogue 3D survives customs (plus a £60.58 UPS tariff bill, cheers), 8BitDo controllers arrive for a boy who cannot get his head round the N64's three handles, Monster's Lizzie Borden series gets binned at episode four, and The East Palace - guessed as feudal Japan, actually Korean, you absolute fucking twat - gets talked up as Constantine meets Demon Slayer.
Then the main event: Dredd (2012). Karl Urban, who everyone loves - not a bad word will be heard. Ever. Plus Lena Headey. Mega-City One, Peach Trees, Ma-Ma, war mode and one shift gone very bad: Judge Dredd meets Die Hard, but he had shoes on. The boys get into the Slo-Mo problem (slaughter porn, and Max Payne did it better), the best line in the film ("a bullet would interfere with it more"), whether this is secretly a psychic cop film instead of a Judge Dredd film, Dredd's dodgy judgement at the end, the blood-mopping robots, the Lawgiver vs a PS1 light gun, and why three out of five feels about right. There's also chat about reports of a new Dredd being developed by Taika Waititi and Drew Pearce, with Karl Urban keen but not currently involved - because what the boys actually want is Dredd Day Two. Who judges the judges?
And the Untitled Roulette spins again, nearly landing on two films the boys have already covered before settling on one they're both properly happy with. You're not finding out here. You know the rules.
